A Weekend to Remember: Celebrating at the Valiant Air Command Open House

This past weekend, the Valiant Air Command proudly hosted its Open House, an event filled with activities, learning, and fun for all ages. We are incredibly thankful to everyone who visited and made this event a resounding success.

A Weekend Full of Adventure and Discovery

Our Open House was bustling with a variety of activities, ensuring that there was something for everyone:

  • Bounce House: A hit with the kids, our bounce house was a source of endless fun and laughter.

  • Space Coast Modelers Club: Model aircraft enthusiasts were treated to an impressive display of skill and craftsmanship.

  • Book Signing with David "Bio" Baranek: We were honored to have David "Bio" Baranek, a respected author and former naval aviator, signing copies of his books.

  • U.S. Aviation Training Solutions: This exhibit provided insights into the fascinating world of aviation training.

  • Guitars for Vets: Their musical talents were both entertaining and heartwarming, showcasing the healing power of music.

  • Wing Walking USA: This thrilling display captivated all with daring and skillful demonstrations.

  • One Blood - Big Red Bus: An opportunity for our community to contribute to a vital cause.

  • DAV (Disabled American Veterans): Their presence and contributions were invaluable in highlighting the courage and sacrifice of our veterans.

  • Space Port Treats: Offering delicious treats that were a delight for everyone.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Volunteers and Supporters

This event could not have been possible without our incredible volunteers. A special thanks goes to our Parking Attendants, Grill Operators, Security team, Tour Docents, the Grumman Gremlins - Restoration Team, culinary attendants and the PX Support Team. Your dedication and hard work were the backbone of this successful event.

Gratitude to the City of Eustis, Florida

We extend our deepest gratitude to the city of Eustis, Florida, for their support, especially in facilitating the Phantom Airborne Brigade's spectacular paratrooper drop from our Flagship C-47 “Tico Belle” . This breathtaking display was a highlight of the weekend and a testament to the spirit of collaboration and community support.
